Academic Competitions
At St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Dibrugarh, we are committed to fostering a culture of academic excellence and intellectual curiosity. Our students are encouraged to participate in various academic competitions, both within the school and at inter-school, state, and national levels. These competitions provide invaluable opportunities for students to challenge themselves, showcase their talents, and gain recognition for their achievements.
1. NOF JUNIOR OLYMPIAD – (Pre-Primary & Primary level)
NOF Junior Olympiad is conducted within the school premises which aims at enabling students to put his/her skills, memory, talent and knowledge to test.
2. SCIENCE OLYMPIAD FOUNDATION (SOF) – (Primary, Middle & Secondary level)
The SOF world provides competitive platform of National Cyber Olympiad (NCO), National Science Olympiad (NSO) International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), International English Olympiad (IEO), International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO) within the school premises which aims at enabling students to put his / her skills, memory, talent and knowledge to test
3. ASSESSMENT OF SCHOLASTIC SKILLS THROUGH EDUCATIONAL TESTING (ASSET) TALENT SEARCH
ASSET Stands for Assessment of Scholastic Skills through Educational Testing. It is a scientifically designed, skill-based assessment test. Rather than testing rote learning, through multiple-choice questioning, it focuses on measuring how well Skills and concepts underlying the school syllabus have been learnt by the student. The test provides information on the strengths and weaknesses of individual students and also entire classes.
4. NATIONAL-LEVEL SCIENCE TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION (NSTSE) OLYMPIAD
NSTSE stands for National-level Science Talent Search Examination. NSTSE is a diagnostic test which helps students improve their overall learning ability and educational performance at Primary, Middle & Secondary level.
5. TERI GREEN OLYMPIAD – (Primary, Middle & Secondary level)
The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI) has been conducting GREEN Olympiad. This Olympiad checks the environment quotient of students and is aligned with the CBSE curriculum. This unique initiative also enhances their appreciation of sustainability issues.
6. WWF – INDIA WILD WISDOM QUIZ – (Primary & Middle level)
The Wild Wisdom Quiz provide opportunity and platform to bring students closer to nature and spark a passion in them for nature conservation. The quiz is an ideal platform to reach out to young minds and inculcate a sense of biodiversity conservation amongst them.
7. SPELLQUEST – (Primary & Middle level)
Language is our primary source of communication. It’s a method through which we share our ideas and thoughts with others. SpellQuest India comes with a self-explanatory Programme which aims to boost the confidence in students.
